What Is Family Therapy?

Family Therapy

Family Therapy is a treatment modality that views the psychological problems or difficulties through a family lens.  Family Therapy is a useful treatment to teach families how to cooperate and communicate more effectively with one another.

By clarifying the individual strengths of each family member, the family collective values, and future family goals, a family can set up a plan to confront their difficulties in a safe and playful venue that will also meet the developmental needs of the children or teenagers.

My family motto in treatment is, “Progress NOT Perfection.”  Helping a family meet together and learn how to listen then understand to one another is a primary goal in treatment.
